Hi! My name is Katie and I appreciate you taking the time to read a little about me.
I’m a UX Researcher experienced with both quantitative and qualitative research methods and passionate about partnering with designers and developers to create human-centered design. Before transitioning into UX Research, I worked in the not-for-profit sector as a high school teacher for 4 years and a project manager for 16 months. I have also enjoyed the opportunities to work with various NGOs in Hawaii, Kenya, Ukraine, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand as a volunteer during school holidays.
In my spare time, I enjoy learning about student and teacher wellbeing. This includes topics that span from popular brands among Gen Z to school health policy. I attribute this niche interest to my teaching career, Generation Me by Jean Twenge and Wellbeing by Tom Rath and Jim Carter. I’m also working on a project to improve mental health care access in low resourced schools. If you are interested in this project, you can contact me at katiecjang@gmail.com or message me on LinkedIn.
